The idea of creating a museum dedicated to Empress Maria Alexandrovna is not a new one. It is generally believed that the Empress's son, Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich (1857-1905), intended to establish such a historical and cultural center.

The virtual museum is merely an attempt to advance this vision a bit further by creating a platform that shares the captivating story not only of the Empress but also of a woman who became the embodiment of the "Russian dream."
